i was wondering if it would be better in the long run to just get a turbo, or just get mods for it

The other Mods ae a support system for the turbo and they give you additional power. You can do them now or later, but you will wind up doing them. LOL

Check out turbomustangs.com they have a guide to turbo kits there
and you could see what they cost and get feedback on some of these
turbo kits. one thing you are gonna need is a tubular k member though.

there is no better power adder than turbo since it is the most eficcient.
How much power are you looking to make? The PI engine has a higher CR and may limit your boost.

Not necessarily true. There is no more efficient power adder since it uses wasted energy to make power, but turbos have heat issues since they run of the exhaust gasses and let's not forget turbo lag.

Well Lag isn't an issue unless you're running some 90 mm single turbo ... and unless you want to dump alot of money into .. turbo cars aren't the way for the normal mustang owner to go .. get a supercharger .. you'll be plenty happy with it ..

Yeah, I was about to say that myself....supercharger is really the way to go with a Mustang...as opposed to turbocharging.
