Nitrous Timing

is anybody running the steeda timing adjuster with nitrous, to retard timeing? And is the general rule of thumb 2* per 50 shot?

I took mine off because I can adjust my timing with my tuner. I have also been told by numerous techs that the timing adjuster is kind of worthless on our engines.

you can run 75 on stock without a problem. you can even run a 100 shot without a problem. after that then timing will be an issue. if you wanted to retard timing start at 2 degrees at 100 and 1 per every 25. i am now at 125 with stock timing without a problem but i am about to go back 2 degrees just to make sure.

so would the timing adjuster be worth the time and effort if i don't have a tuner to be safe and get the most out of the nitrous? BTW what plugs did you run and what gap?

yes i know that a tuner will be better in the long run, i'm asking as a temporary deal. I'm in the process of trying to sell my truck and depending on the deal i'm either gonna have an X-cal or not. jury is still out on that plan (computer issues, etc)
