selling my ls1 for 99-04 mustang GT

well it is time for me to change it up a little bit. im going to be selling my 98 ls1 camaro. im looking into getting a 99-04 GT. People are calling me crazy for doing this but i wanna try it out. only reason im selling my camaro is because it has 143k on it. i want something with low miles. I have a few questions. with the 99-04 mustang GTs. what do they dyno at stock? (auto) my only plans so far for it. are.. Exhaust, cold air intake, xpipe, and a SCT Tuner and have bama tuning done. how much hp do you think i will be making? and what do you think ill go in the 1/4mile? sorry if stuff like this has been posted which im sure it has. but i wanted to make my own.

ill be on this site alot. seems cool

sorry to say it but an auto 99-04 gt will be alot slower than your ls1. but its up to you if you want to travel down this road. its a dark, cold, sad, and depressing road.

I could only do 14.2 @97mph that was on the slippery sumitumo tires, launching at 1500rpm, and sliding a little going into 2nd. Decent tires and a harder launch would do quite a bit better.

My 02 Gt 5spd put down 231whp and 267wtrq with just a o/r x-pipe and everthing else was bone stock.

I ran a 9.2 @ 78 in the 1/8th mile when I was completely bone stock and first time launching a rwd car.

lololol!! well the reason i wanna do this is yeah because the miles and its hard to find a low mile F-Bodys now adays. there getting old.... and for the other guy. yeah i was thinking it would go 14.2 or in that area. maybe some gears will have me brake 13s?

I would assume due to the trans being alittle bigger and requiring 4x more fluid.

A buddy of mine is converting his 03 Gt to a auto right now, but he is all about drag racing though, haha.

If you go with an auto, Id say o/r midpipe (x or h) catback, cold air, throttle body and plenum, 4.10's, shiftkit, 3800 stall. With that, I would think youd be low 13's with some drag radials. As far as power, Id say like 240-245rwhp.

But if you can, look for a Mach 1. There pretty cheap right now, and with the mods listed above, you could be mid 12's.

My 99 Cobra with those mods but only a catback puts a little over 300hp to the ground.

I wouldnt say that. N/A cobras with these boltons are usually around the 300whp mark. Mine had the "fix" done and put down 280ish before the mods.
