I have been considering the NT05 drag radial. I have a real hard time hooking up at street speeds on street tires. Recently I picked up a set of the regular NT05 tires for the street. Would like feedback on the NT05 drag radials also.
Here are my regular NT05s...

i've got the nto5's and they hook up real well especially after you get some heat in them.

it kinda depends on the size your looking at. if theres a Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II in the size your looking at, then get the M/T if not your stuck with the NT05r.
NT05r's will hook up but they pale in comparison to a Mickey Thompson.

I kinda figured anyone looking at a tire of this nature would already know that but your right you wouln't get very many miles from them.

mileage is one thing i tend to always think of when it comes to tires. 555r's get good mileage and hook well.

very correct on the 555r's, the NT05's & the M/T srII's are in a diffrent class of tire though, if you really need those, the 555r's are worthless to you.

toyo proxes r888's are pretty sick, but they cost alot. i have also heard good things about the toyo proxes tq tires. they are a cheap dragradial that sticks.
m&h makes a sick drag radial that i would put up their with the m/t II's |

Pale in comparison? I disagree completely. The NT05R is just as good as the MTs.

top drag radials for high hp cars are the mt drag radial's, mt drag radial 2's, m&h race masters, toyo r888's, nitto drag radials fall in a distant 6th.

Everyone is more than entitled to their opinion. We both have different ones but from my experience the NT05Rs worked just as good for me as the MT Drag Radials. Both spun the same off of first and caught traction at roughly the same distance down the track.
