Chrome Alternator Died

My chrome alternator died on me today. Car was running fine until I shut it off, went to start and the battery would not start the car. Pushed it off and jump started it. At first it was running fine, then about 2 minutes the car started running like crap and the gages all went dead. Tried to make back home but it overheated since the fan wasn't running. Had to wait almost 2 hours for the tow truck. At least I was at a convenient store and there was a lot of hot babes coming in.

Ordered a new one from American Muscle.

same thing happend to my eclipse! I was driving it, suddenly my radio goes off so im like wtf? then my gauges turn off, and then it just started missing and it died, and it was overheating too. but yeah new alternator should do the trick unless your battery burned up. Was there any acid on the outside of the battery?

No the battery is good, even showed 11.7 volts when I hooked it up to a charger to charge over night.
