The lack of catalytic converters means excess fuel/chemicals in the fuel don't get burnt off I believe, which will cause the smell.

It's normal, don't worry about it.

is there a way to get rid of it??

I was under the impression that if you are smelling exhaust even without converters that you were running rich and should do something about it?

You are not going to get rid of it. You could high flow cats and reduce the smell a great deal and not hurt performance too much. The cats will also quiet you exhaust some. I just had a dyno tune so I am not running rich and still have the smell.

Get use to it or add cats.

I think you can get a MAC that has removable pipes to put in your own cats...
