Made my own hood scoop grille!!
Those of you who have seen pics of my car know that I have been missing my scoop grille since I bought the car. Thanks to DOC and his Dad they got me one from a different hood style, it's not the hard plastic grill but the soft one. So I decided to make it work, much better than specding $150 for a new scoop i don't need just to get the grille. i think i paid a total of $12.00 at LOWES for the hardware I needed for the install. Took some fabrication but got it done.... here are some pics.
Pic 1 Yes my hood actually has a hole in it! Pic 2 Scoop before Pic 3 Grille and tool used Pic 4-6 See second post It turned out okay, not great but it will do for now. Oh yeah i forgot to mention I put a semi-thick piece of plexi glass (painted it black) behing the grille to make it more sturdy, drilled holes in both and use the little tool in the pic to finish boring out the holes, then put them together and ran the hex key bolts through both.
