Go with the S/C man. I get plenty of traction on street tires with stock suspension (I know its a different suspension) at my power level...you just have to know that WOT is going to spin and learn how much gas you can give it without losing traction. S/C is way more fun and you will figure out how to drive the car without spinning all the time.
There is something to be said for you guys running 12's on the stock long block, its badass...but if your not a hardcore drag guy there is no point. I would rather be able to blow out the tires in third gear and have to pedal the car from a dig to keep traction. IMO its just a lot more fun...once you get used to the power that is. But then again, I dont go to the track, therefore I dont care about ETs.

Kudos to you on your setups and driving.
That said, 400+ rear wheel horsepower is WAY more fun than mid-200s any day of the week! The pull from 4500 to 6000+ rpms with a Centrifugal Supercharger never gets old.

I would die to ride up there with f8l and casper. Yall need to right a mid 12's guide for this forum. I've seen one on here that basically talked about power to weight ratios. You all definitely know how to squeeze great times out of smaller horsepower. It would be nice to run mid 12's then throw on a centri. I've seen kb gt's running 12.8's all over youtube and that would make me buy a 4v in a heartbeat.
If there is a guide already link it to me cause I can't find it.

I want casper to run similar times to mine, then we can meet up and do an auto vs manual grudge match

Im sure f8l and casper would like their nuts back
![]() Their times are awesome but def doable..most guys that go to the track dont run their cars as hard as they should and arent harcdore into drag like both of them. just sayin You'd be surprised how much slicks actually help when used right.

since youre in high school, I dont recommend adding more power. Get it to the ground first and learn how the car reacts. i wouldnt say go all out drag suspension but definately take the time and upgrade what you have. good street tires will get you a long way. i saw a huge inprovement switching to Nitto NT05s compared to the stock pirelli zeros. theyre pricey but i cant break them loose in third like i can the pirellis, so theyre well worth it.

if you dont go to the track a lot and get it done on the street(not condoning it) which are usually rolls then go with the s/c you will be more happy

but your numbers aren't all that spectacular from what I remember so I don't understand what all the hype is about. Doesn't your car run like a 13.2 or 13.3? Looks like you have a few "deletes" in your garage. For a bolt on, geared, tuned, and stalled auto with rear suspension the numbers aren't anything better than average. I would actually expect it to be in the 12's with the few hundred pounds that were taken out.

All the people that don't see why a good suspension can be just as significant or better as a supercharger.

A good suspension by itself is not going to make up for 140rwhp that a supercharger gives you. There are many full weight 400rwhp Mustangs that are breaking into the 11's on stock suspension, or even on lowering springs, by just swapping to drag radials or slicks. For the street, a 400rwhp car will always be alot more fun and feel much quicker than a 260rwhp. On the street suspension has a very minimum impact. Unless you're always running around on heated drag radials your rear suspension isn't going to do anything for you.

I guess it all depends on what kind of driving you do on the street then. A supercharger isn't going to help you make that turn but I guess it depends how straight the road is after the turn too.
