335's to big??????

I have saleen rims well the guy i baught these rims from a fellow member said they are 18x10.5 in the back do they make saleens this big??? i have 315-30-18 in the back right now and they seem to overlaps idk maybe its the low profile this is the biggest set of tires ive ever owned and dunno how it all works really i found that 335-30-18's are alot cheaper than 315-30-18's so if it will fit im going to buy them..

so heres the question

1. is there such a thing as 18x10.5 saleens (aftermarket)

2. will a 335/30/18 be too much?? (rubbing ect. THERE IS NO DROP on my car!

3. post some pics of your 335-30-18's if u got them

thanks and im looking forward to some insight from jazzer as well!

no they dont make a replica wheel in a 10.5 when they are 18s..they do 18x10s and the 17x10.5..

and a 335 will look to bubbled out on your wheel...go with a bfg kdw 315..they run bigger than nittos and most other tires..

man how do you have a mustang that isnt dropped lol

Buddie has 315's on a stock 17x8 or might be 8.5 (whatever stock 17" Gt wheels are) wheel, so i would say a 335 would fit on a 10.5in wheel if 315's fit on a 8-8.5in wheel. BUT it is not ment to be like that and you will have the tires bulging off the rim and might have a hard time getting a shop to mount them.

hey guess they do now lol...

only way to tell is take the tire off and measure(more accurate way) or you can just measure from edge to egde with the tire on

First of all, 315's on a factory wheel is just plain ridiculous. That's completely unsafe. Now, 335's on a 10" wide rim, that's a little more kosher, but I still think that's a lot of overkill. Sure, they look sick as all get out, but common, let's think about the safety and engineering aspect of this guys. 295's or 315's will perform and look the best on a 10" wide rear wheel IMHO.

I got 335's on 10.5's. They fit pretty well for 335's. Not a whole lot of bulge and they provided for a lot of grip. I don't have any good pictures of them though.

BFG KDW's are awesome tires. The street versions (there are 2) and the drag radials are some of the stickiest, best wearing, and most badass looking tires I or anyone I know have used. I swear by bfg man you should definitely get them. Only reason I don't have the KDW 2's is because they don't make them big enough for our cars. I think you might be able to find them for the 18" sizes but not for my rear (17x10.5) If I did more drag racing I would so jump on the KDW 2 fronts and the grad radial rears. They match each others tread pattern and like I said they are freakin awesome tires.

Theres a guy on here (forget his name) that has a mineral gray cobra and a dark colored camaro. He's also on LS1 tech and he can tell you first hand how good the BFG's are and how sexy they look.

Vredsteins are maybe the worst tire if its under 60 degrees. My dad has 285's out back. He cant hook in 2nd, he has 4.30's, but even with stock 3.55's he would spin through 2nd in the cooler days. Even in the summer, they dont hook well at all. They look good, their good in the rain, but performance wise, they suck.

If your buddy has a 315 on an 8" wheel, or even an 8.5" wheel.... he is foolish

I run knock-off 10.5" Saleen style wheels and a 335 is too large for them. The minimum approved width in which I have seen is 11.5" wide.

While it's not reccomended by the manufacturer, there are countless people running 335s on a 10.5 rim without issues. Mainly in the cobra world. 335s are badass, and i am dying trying to find a replacement set for 17s that aren't back ordered or 500$ a tire

Lol i know Jazz! but you dont know this guy, here he is holdin his old car on the rev till it almost overheated boiling off some Mikey thompson's that were 26x11.5x15 on some 8" wide ranger wheels.
The 315"s on the stock GT wheel is what i was running when i ran a 8.18, just swapped my back wheels for those. They were some slick dry rotted 315 Nitto 555R's
