How much horsepower does my car have


I have a 2002 mustang gt with a functional shaker hood and i
have Eh Magnaflow exhaust just wondering how much horsepower
my car has and torque if anyone could guess

now when you say rwhp is that diff from regular horsepower because that number sounds kinda slow if so what is the regular one

From the factory you have 260 HP at the flywheel. Drivetrain loss is about 15% so the flywheel hp lessened by about 15% will give you close to the actual horsepower at your rear wheels (RWHP)! hope that helps!

Cams will benefit you a lot but you will probably not see 300 with just that! This is a debateable question and everybody has a different opinion!

do u know a site to get a good deal on cams and how long does it normally take to put them in and what about if a get new gears and pullys how would that all be for speed

Putting cams in is a little easier in our cars because of the overhead, but you'll still have to pull off the front timing cover to change them out. I read somewhere that you can do it without pulling the cover by tilting the cams but that sounds really iffy to me..

full bolt ons, LTs, and prolly have to throw a cam in there should be around 260-270rwhp

With my old Bullitt I made 270 RWHP/302 RWTQ with JLT CAI, O/R X, SLP copy catback, and SCT XCAL2 93 tune.

I did it the first time leaving the timing cover on. I used the afm cam retention tool. Some people had trouble using it, I didn't. You can't just tilt the cam. Something needs to go between the auto tensioner and the guide or it closes up and pulls down on the cam gear. Plus you need to make sure you keep tention on the chain so it doesn't slip a tooth.
