bitting the bullet....

Well.... had a talk with the my baby(stang) and she told me she spun a rod bearing... so... after days and days of begging me to fix her up, i decided to go ahead and give her a little more than what she asked for. as a birthday gift to her from me..

Kit comes with Manley forged rods, FM 8-7250CH high performance rod bearings, FM high performance main bearings,Diamond racing forged 11cc pistons and matching Diamond ringset, forged Cobra crank. i might call VT and have them change the forget cobra crank to a regular ol cast Gt crank. i am staying N/A for the time being and the less money out of pocket, the better.

there are a few other small things ie, new moroso street/strip 7qt oil pan, 0.20 over bore and honing etc....

Nice dude! What'd this set you back? PS - the Cobra crank is overkill, I know alot of people go to it but I've never, ever heard of the cast crank failing.

yeah, i don't plan on making 800hp anytime soon, so the forged cobra crank is not in the picture.

haven't ordered yet, but just for the rotating assembly plus shipping, its approx $2100 and some change. i want everything in the assembly expect the cobra crank, so the price will drop 1 or 2 hundred. still kind of shopping to see if i can find some better prices, but a decision will be made either today or tomorrow....

Dude, if you haven't ordered yet, go on eBay. Theirs a couple companies selling forged rods and postoons for between $695 - $895 depending on the rods.
