Need new tires...

So, I've got some crappy Sumitomo tires on the stang right now... they're cheap. Looking at getting some new Nitto's from Twist 2 Go here in Norfolk, VA. He gave me a good price on four new tires... I think they were for NT555R's. About $700 for all four.

My tire sizes are 275's in the front and 315's in the back... I've heard that Nitto's are the way to go. I want to be able to have the best drag tires available that are still street legal. Any other suggestions?

Why go with the drag radial in the front as well? Go with the normal 555s in the front and the 555Rs in the back! They will last the longest out of drag radials, but M/T et streets will hook much better, but will last no where near the amount the Nitto 555Rs do!

I know a few people with 555's they like em. Get better traction and they wear pretty decent. I would say it sounds good to me. Check around online to see if you can get a better deal.
Car show is 5 days away!!!

The Nitto 555R's were recommended to me by my shop that I get my work done at... probably because I drive it on the street a lot. I would love to get the Mickey Thompsons but I do need them to last longer since my pockets aren't that deep!

So, barring the M/T's, I'm thinking the Nitto 555R's are the best for me to get. So I should go with regular 555's in the front? I didn't think of the fact that I don't need the 555R's in the front, obviously because I'm not worried about those hooking or not. Is there anything else I should consider for the front?

I've heard those are great tires, but I also heard that the Nitto 555R's are even better for launching...

This is my first time there, I had actually never heard of it before this, and I've been living here for four years now! So needless to say I'm pissed I never knew about it before.

So what are you doing way over on the east coast? School?
