Considering Buying a GT
Well i have a 99 v6 mustang with about 86k miles on it...im only 17 and plan on working my ass off this summer to get money and sell my sixer and op for a GT because dad says...dont hate me but Camaros (although cheaper) break down more and generally have more problems. My only concern with a GT is that people put some outrageously huge mark up on those cars, how much would i expect to pay for a 99-00 GT w/ around 70-80k miles on it from a person and not a dealer? How much do you think i could get for my 35th Annv. Sixer?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

I bought my '99 GT last spring with 62,000 on it for 9,800. So you could definetely get a good deal if you look hard and dont rush into buying something. +1 on what steeda said kbb.com is the only place to look when pricing.

I paid 10 for mine with 78k on the motor a few months ago and it was/ still is stock. I'll be putting it up for sale for 10 here pretty soon to use the money towards a mach. If you look around and aren't in a hurry you should be able to get something nice for around that.

i paid 12k for my 02 with 75000 on it. you should def. be able to find something for around 10k or less or so if you are looking for a 99 or 00. just like what everybody else said...dont rush and try to find something that fits you and you can afford. (plus mine had a a couple of mods)

I pad 14K for my 02 last year, and it only had 8k miles on it.... you can get a nice GT with decent miles for around 10K... and i found out while i was shopping that dealers charge way too much for these GTs, more so than other cars.

I payed $15,500 out the door for my 2002 GT with 38,000 miles 2 years ago. Today the same car would sell for $10,000 if I was lucky. Its a buyers market. Do not jump on the first thing you see look around there are deals out there.

I'm selling mine here for 10,000 o.b.o. and on autotrader for 11,000. If you want check it out. Willing to let it go for a cheaper price if sold here.
