no there is not. how do you know its comming from the ball joint? a way to tell if its bad is put the car on stands(let the wheels hang) get the tire about 2 inces off the ground. put a barr or something under the tire and raise it up and down while watching the ball joint. should be a little play verticaly but not alot.

No it's not moving so if it's not the ball joints could it be anything with the steering column?

my car is doing the SAME EXACT THING bro. over the course of like 3 to 4 days it went from smooth and no noise to, squeeking while turning squeeking when hitting bumps, both when im sitting still and driving. i brought it to my mechanic he said sounds like balls joints but lemmie take a look... lifted car with jack and used the crowbar technique described above. he said ya its definately ur ball joints. he said the reason im juut startting to hear it so quick is, i live in mass and we are jsut coming out of winter, but we've had a really slushy wet winter. well the last 4 days have been beautiful and the car is really getting its first dry-out since ive owned it. the dry weather is unmasking the old ball joints that have been lubed by wet weather all winter.

and heres my question, does $250 sound like good price to have lower and upper done on both sides? that was his offer

woah woah woah.. before you do ANYTHING to your ball joints. check your TIE ROD ENDS!!!! mine was squeaking really bad so i pulled the tie rod off the spindle. (theres a cotter pin through the nut) i then moved the tire and turned it left and right and let the car down and pushed down on the bumper, no noise. so i inspected my tierod end and sure enough, the grease was all dried out and it was squeaking. so i took a screwdriver and pried the rubber away a little bit and squirted the grease gun in there a few pumps. the noise is gone now! make sure its not your tie rod ends before you get into ball joints. they are non-serviceable but you can get some grease in there if you work it a little.. you can replace them yourself and you can get new ones off ebay for cheap. i missed a bid on one the other day it sold for $3 brand new.

all aftermarket balljoints for the mustang come with grease zerks no need to buy cobra balljoints.
No you cant drill a hole and add a zerk.
Your mechanic is a fuckin dumb ass or you are one because your car doesnt have upper balljoints! Those prices are out of this world. Go buy you some balljoints from a parts store for $20-$30 a piece and you only need 2. one for each lower control arm. Then put them in yourself. I can do the balljoints myself on both sides in about an hour - hour/half. If you never done it I would say 3-4 hours tops once you figure out how to use the tool to get them out and back in. Then have it realigned.

Good point on the upper ball joints, only in his thivening dreams. I'm a firm beliver in OEM or better parts. I think the Cobra parsa were about the sam prica as junk from China. And do the tie rod ends as well while your in there. Here is a super parts guy who will give a good price, drop him an e-mail W.P>

You can also up grade to the 04 Cobra arms and give the car a wider and more aggressive stance, about 130 for the pair, and it is a good looking but subtle change. Here is a super parts guy who will give a good price, drop him an e-mail Than get the car alinged Oh La
