Armor all would work but might look and feel greasy. Mothers makes a product called Back In Black, it works great and lasts a little while too. It's made specifically for black plastic on the exterior of cars.

I just tried the Back to Black by Mothers yesterday, and I gotta say I'm sold on it. I have had some sort of stain or discoloration on my passenger side mirror (on the black housing) for some time, and i tried armor all and other products but they didn't work. But the Back to Black got rid of it, at least for the time being and it looks great not greasy like armor all. Next I will have to try the ICE to see which I like better.

I use tire gel make my black plastic look good again. The only thing about any of these products is that you have to let them dry before driving with them on or everything sticks to them.

Yeah i used to have a '91 VW Jetta and it had a whole lot of black plastic on the exterior, all the around the car, including both front and back bumpers. I used the back to black and I loved it. I never used ICE, I'll have to try that out to on my mirror housing on my stang.

That is what I use also. I like the shine and the application of it, but what i don't like is that it leaves this nasty thick gooey build up of it, you have to really clean it off between applications or it wont look right. But it is the best stuff I've used so farl

I never had that problem with it. If you let it sit on the tires long enough it forms a coating. I don't put any more on until after the next time I wash my car.

It's pretty straight forward. It only took me 15 minutes to do it.
