how hard would it be?

So how much work would it take to put a Vortech V-1 for a 96-99 on my 04 GT? Is it even possible? I don't know how different the units are between the 96-99 and 00-04. I'm only asking because I found a guy selling one cheap.

Id say call vortech its prolly somethin different with that bracket. Centris are like turbo they will wokr on any car, you just need it mounted right and be able to get the belt around it! It might be worth buying a few parts from vortech to make it work

Call Vortech and they should be able to answer any questions you may have.

Unless I am totally mistaken, that doesnt make since to me because you said its for a 96-99, the 99 is differant in some aspects on the front, so did you mean 96-98? This is why I ask 96-98, have 2 coil packs bolted to the front of the heads. The 99-04 have COP so therefore the 99-04 bracketry will be differant from the 96-98 because the 2 seperate coil packs will have to be relocated. I have never installed a centri SC but just know the differances in the front of the engines, I would say there differant brackets, but maybe only 1 or 2 brackets.

ya but the 2 coil packs are on the other side of the engine by cylinders 1 - 4 and the s/c is by cylinders 5 - 8 so the coil packs wont get in the way the only differance that i can see is the inter cooler

i think hes right. im pretty sure there is a different belt routing on the ealrier 4.6s. so you prolly need a bracket for the blower and some pulley changes. but to be sure call vortech up

They may look the same, but there could be slight differences, so it's always best to call and find out.

Otherwise it would say 96-04. They wouldn't have 2 different models if that were the case, because that would be like wipeing before you poop, it wouldn't make any sense.
