i have an 2001 auto mustang gt and about a week ago i startde noticing a chirping or whistling noise coming from underneath the car when i was driving.

i put it in park and rev up the engine and no noise. but when i put it in drive and give it some gas it starts chirping again.

then yesterday morning i start the car and am about to pull from the street when the car starts to hesitate like its going to die but doesn't. it stuttered for like a minute then drove fine the rest of the day.

what warning signs are these and what should i look for.

also the only mods i have done to it are full exhaust headers mid borla and jlt cai.

Good choice on the intake.



sounds like a vaccume line. check your fittings on the JTL and on your tb/plenum.

Check your basic stuff first.. Vaccuume lines and pulleys.. then try to isolate the noise a little more and post back.. does it sound like its from the front of the car... middle.. rear?

It might even need a good tuneup.

do you think its the transmission since the car only makes the noise while in drive. i will check the lines and everything first.
