Kenne Bell intercooled or Procharger P1SC for 2v GT?

Recently blew my engine on my 2000gt and im getting a brand new factory longblock put in was planning on ordering a supercharger at the end of june and cant decide what to go with Im stuck on deciding between a intercooled 2.1L KB or the Procharger P1SC Stage II I wanna produce 390-425rwp the car will be stock besides full exhaust (bassani headers x pipe and flows) just wanted some opinions on what to go with I want atleast a mid to low 12 sec car.

VORTECH! lol, well do you plan on having it as a track car or mainly just a street car? if street then KB and procharger for the track.

mostly a street beast something I can use to play with the 03-04 cobras got two young kids in my town that each have one both are stock except for exhaust but man them things are quick. There is a 1/8th mile track less than 10 mins from my house so I do go out there often. So which is better from a roll I figured maybe the procharger since your already at 2500+Rpms from what I understand the kenne's are good out of the whole?

I'm very biased to the KB b/c I have that exact blower. And the low and grunt is amazing. You don't need to floor the car or rev it to redline to feel the power. Its noticable from idle up.

As for a mid to low 12 sec car, I beleive both SC's will get that for you. I know alot of people say the Centri's are faster, but the new KB's have been impressing people in everything I've read.

How loud is your KB at idle Doc? thats one thing I really like about the Prochargers you can really hear um whether they are just sitting or open throttle they are loud.

Its actually quiet. You can here it a little during normal driving. I'm told its louder outside of the car then inside when I drive past people. Floored though it really screams as it revs out.

I should be getting some videos made in the near future, just need to find a good place to do some drive by's!

I'm partial to KB. With 100% of the vote so far, it looks like most of MM shares my opinion

what PSI is required to get what I want with the procharger from what I understand running 9 psi with KB will get you right around 400rwp but from what ive heard about the centri's is it takes lil more boost to get to that goal I hear of lot of peeps running 10-12psi with centri's and ive heard 9psi is max you wanna do with KB.

I would go with KB if it were me, just because of the fact that I have read on many sites that they are the least harmful SC, as far as doing damage to your engine. Vortech are good too, but most people who use them, have the older 5.0 GT's.

How are kb's the least harmful SC?

I'm not really sure, iv'e just read on different sites that they don't cause the engines to wear down as fast as some SC's.

Well not to get into a heated debate .. but if you're aiming to hit a mid 12 sec car on the track .. and you want something on a stock block ... thats realiable and all that jazz .. I'd def. say go with the procharger.. I'd actually tell you to get a s trim and intercool it .. but you're just asking about the two .. if you want a car that will jump stop light to stop light just for some fun .. yeah slap on a KB if you have the $ .. but i'm tight on what i spend my $ on .. and a KB just isn't as valuable to me

either one is a good choice. since you just want to mostly fuck around town i would get the kb. but the procharger will most likely out run it at the track. oh and no supercharger is safer than the other. its all in the tune and how much boost you are running

:award That's exactly what I was thinking. And if you plan on running a forged bottom end I would go with the T-trim. Its only a $400.00 upgrade and will make a lot more boost.

+1 for KB. they sound awsum at wot, the centris do sound nice at idle though. I have found out you have to learn to drive your car over again with the Kb. getting it to hook can be a problem. at the tracks around here I have seen no distinct advantage of one type over the other. if you are into the 1/4 mile, turbo's FTW
