well the 4.10's are in and...

i went ahead and looked through the 4.10's discussions, and went ahead and tried them. personally i hate them! they would be great n/a but i think they suck on the bottle. i had to raise the rev limiter 300rpm just to get through the traps without bouncing it. my 60ft - 1/8 mile arent any better, and actually i cant even get back into the 7's in the 1/8. i am still fighting traction issues on my e.t. streets, but i have been for a while now. just thought i would throw this out here for you guys to debate on, or whatever you want to do.

what shot are you running? How did they change the car wile on the bottle? Did it just make you find it hard getting grip? Dont you think if you put some big slicks on your bad boy it would be faster with the 4.10s at taking off

I have all bolt on's and a 100 shot of the gass with 4.10's and I love them! Do you have a window switch on the bottle? Now you can start pumping money into traction upgrades like me! Good luck man...

+1 on that.

I run 4.30's in my Mach with a 125 shot. I don't know if you have considered getting a progressive controller, but I think that would help you on launching. I don't have anyting to compare the 60's to pre-gears, but I can consistently get the same or better 60's with the N2O vs. without it.

i am cutting a 1.877 60 on the bottle with 4.10's, and 1.73 with the 3.55's. off the bottle i cut a 1.822 on my n/a tune. the window switch is set at 2200-6100 to get my launch lower to help with the traction and to carry me through the traps. i run mickey thompson e.t. streets so i can qualify in bracket classes since they require a d.o.t. tire. i've tried 11-16 psi, launch in different rpm's, and so on and so on. i am up to a 125 shot and am considering a progressive controller pretty soon.

it may be just me, but I was told that I shouldn't spray below 3000 anyway. My window switch is set from 3000-6200. I pretty much don't spray in first gear and then floor it in second with the WOT switch.

well, below 2500 rpm there is a risk of hurting rods but that is just a precaution. a friend of mine has an auto and has been spraying from 2100 without any type of problem.

with the 410's, i am not in 1st long enough to really spray and then when I shift I am above 3K anyway. just my theory.

Same here with the window switch. It's hard to stay out of the nitrous in first gear but it's just something that I had to work on. My window switch is set up at 3k - 6,200. I launch higher than 3k anyways and just have to be concious about where my foot is on the throttle. I've had a couple of 60's that were extremely good for me, a 1.70 and a 1.72 without the nitrous, but I haven't run the nitrous in a few months at the track... My best with the nitrous is 1.80 and 1.82. I know that I can get lower 60's with just better driving skills.

I really feel like your window switch is set too low for activation anyhow, but I'm no expert on it. I would recommend either moving it up in the rpm's or going with a progressive controller. I have not yet installed mine so I can't give any real opinions on it yet, but I've got high hopes on it!

just because i have it set that low, doesn't mean i am launching that low. i am launchinag around 3200 or so. the higher i launch, the more i spin. i have to work at trying to keep it under control.
