can't really tell what the problem is... need better quality sounding video. is it just a bad tick noise? if it still seems to be running okay than it may not be that major.. might just need a valve job or something

My brother you might wanna check the level cause that almost looks and sounds exactly what happened to my 1996 GT when I accidentally put 12qts. of oil in instead of 6 (the maximum)...Even if THAT isnt the problem, that smoke is a dead giveaway...its not burning the oil correctly. My advice is check the oil pan for leaks (take it out) and possibly the engine intake and valve cover gaskets. Im no mechanic though, but that video looks EXACTLY like an overfilled or leaking oil problem.

If you look the burning is not coming from something leaking, its coming from the tail pipes. This is something internal. The good thing is now you have an excuse to go forged.

What happened originally is it burned up most of the oil while drag racing. I added 3 quarts that night drove it home, the next day it didnt knock anymore. Ive taken it apart checked the cam replaced a couple out of spec lifters and one rocker, put it back together, changed the oil from 5w-30 full synthetic to 10w30 conventional and it smoked like on the video. A couple days later it stopped smoking as much and started knocking, but the oil level is fine. So the knock is now here to stay. Like i said Tuesday ill hook up a compression tester and then ill be sure of what happened.

sometimes when you run low on oil you can actually make your cam chain tensioner go bad which actually uses oil pressure to keep the tension and the knocking could be the chains hitting the tension arm
