My 2001 GT LOOKS like a brand new 2003 SVT Cobra, but what I've neglected through all this is the actual car. My engine is up around 110,000 miles and every little sound makes me nervous. I drive to work at 3am so all I have to contend with usually is dumb traffic lights but Im worried about driving the engine too hard for this kind of mileage. Now these 4.6L 16V V8 engines are rated for regular unleaded gas but I was wondering if one of the things I could do to prolong the life of the engine and have it respond better is by using premium fuel...will this just be a waste of my money?

i honestly dont know, my gut feeling is that it wont help any, but it might burn off some enigine deposits better than regular gas....not sure

ive heard that it can actually be bad in some cases....but also, im not too sure...i'd just keep on the maintenance and see how it goes...

If your car isn't tuned for premium then it's worthless all it'll do is clean out your fuel injectors.

And that mileage isn't nothing to worry about if it's still stock
