stage II cams

hey guys I'm coming from the 96-98 stangs to ask this....well since i'm stayin n/a and doing the p.i. swap i was wondering if i can get stage II cams(like VT or crower) and put them in the stock p.i. head? or should i just stick with stage I??? i wanna hit around 280rwhp if i can. I'll have the supporting mods like underdrives, CAI, fullexhaust, and 4:10s. what do i need with stage II cams??? oh and I'm just gonna buy a tune from MPH(there canned tune...i would drive there but there 1800miles away!) thanx guys

Accordomg to this from rpmoutlet, stage II and up require an intake and exhaust upgrade.
http://rpmoutlet.com/musv8compcam.htm

If you do it yourself with stage I here is a good how to, even though there test car is a '99.

if you do a full pi swap and all bolt ons, you will actually make a little more power than the 99-04. you will have more compression than ours and will take to a larger cam better. while doing the pi swap i would p&p the heads or buy aftermarket heads like vt or patroit since they are a pi design. 280 will be an easy mark to hit.

Okay if you go with a stage 2 cam you will need to get upgraded valve springs! You will easily reach 280 with stage 2 and you may even hit it with a stage 1!
