Turbo: Bottom end mods necessary???

Thanks for the info on the turbos guys. Thinking of going with the twin turbo kit very soon. $saving up$

I was also wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any good deals on forged bottom end kits (pistons, connecting rods, mains) for a 03' gt. Are bottom end mods necessary with a turbo kit running 12-15psi max??

How much power can a stock modular block take??

Hell yeah, you definately want to run an all forged kit on a setup like that unless you want to be stuck on the side of the road

The max a modular motor can take is about 450 rwhp and I wouldn't put anymore then 12 psi on it and even that still may be pressing the limit...

I thought that the modular blocks could take more than that. So putting in a twin turbo kit (with forged internals), 12psi, and a cam is out of the question. That might put the hp up to around 500-600. I've read other forums where guys have put twin turbos on a relatively stock block (don't know if the internals were forged) and achieved around 700hp. WTF!!!

The block can yes, but those are the limitations to the stock internals.

Yeah... I thought I heard around 800+hp for the block. I would never dream of running 800 through stock internals. Thats just begging for disaster.
