Why is my coolant so dark?

Well 2 weeks ago i had my intake crack. I replaced it with the 01-04 manifold with the aluminum crossover. Ever since I got it all back together, I've noticed that my coolant is a really dark green. And it seems like when its hot there is more in the coolant resevoir than when it's cold. Did I put too much coolant in? How dark is it supposed to be?

Well its not supposed to be dark at all i would assume. Bright green is what it should be.

That's what i was thought... Is there anyway to completely drain my whole coolant system?

Petcock vavle on the bottom of the radiator, or the easier, faster way: pull the lower hose. You'll never completely drain the engine of the coolant that's in it.

Drain that valve, put a hose in your resivoir with a slow flow. start the car and run it until the water coming out of the valve is clear. then turn the car off, close the valve once it finishes draining. Then fill as needed.
