What do these terms mean lol?

1. Dig

2. Trap

3. Hook

Why is this post in this section? Anyway Dig means the start of the race. and Hook means getting the tires stop spinning off the line.

Dig= from a dead stop ( Launch)!
Trap= Overall speed in the quarter!
hook= Well self explanatory does your car have traction!

Damn guys take it easy on em. Im sure there was a time when you didnt know what those "slang" terms meant. I know I wasnt born into drag racing and had to learn those terms when I first got into it.

Roll-already cruisin. As in both cars goin 20/40/whatever mph, and then doin 3 honks and floorin it.

With mustangs tho, you always wanna race from a dig.

I disagree there, I rather race from a "kick" or "roll" on the street. Spin to much from the dig

1) you have slicks
2) the other car/driver sucks
3) you drive a subaru

A Mustang's biggest advatage is the torque it gets off the line. You should be practicing your launch, investing in new tires or both.
