Side View Mirror

So, we had a party the other night for my roommate's birthday... long story short, he was drunkenly chasing after someone outside and pretty much hip-checked my driver side view mirror. It's cracked and slightly hanging at an angle...

My questions is, are there any decent aftermarket side view mirrors out there worth considering? I was about to order a replacement one online today when I though of the possibility that there might be some nice aftermarket ones out there. I would normally go to a junkyard to get a replacement, but he's paying for it so I have no problem ordering a new one online.

They have the cobra's break away mirrors and the directional signal ones (which I think are gay) and I think that's about it... I would just order a stock one and get them both painted to match the car

I have seen people's cars with them painted yes, I don't see why it wouldn't would probably just need to roughen it up with sandpaper and then paint over.

I would say get the 03 cobra folding mirrors, thats what i plan on getting for mine. But if he is only paying for one just get the stocker back. I havent seen anything in the aftermarket world (that didnt look ricey). You can always have the stock ones smoothed and painted also, look at matrixpuba's pic above.

Did you do it or have a shop paint it?

I saw the Cobra folding mirrors with the turn signal built in, but they were about $200 for a pair.
