I figured that lol. But I'd assume that some of the cheaper ones are not 100% accurate

Oh ok lol. I mean you can get an expensive one (relatively speaking) like this >
![]() But essentially unless the round disk gap tool has been sand blasted for a gazillion hours, it will be pretty dang accurate.

Gap depends not only on spark plug, but the use of the plug. Any boost? Any nitrous? If so the gap needs to be tightened up, if not factory spec is fine.

If no boost and no nitrous with stock or very close to stock compression ratio, yes gap to factory spec.

Pretty sure they are somewhere above .60 or at the the v powers i bought the day before last were
but then others like nick at mhs say no power is to be gained from opening the gap on these cars so i guess its up to you to test it out and see what works best for your car. |

ALWAYS check the gap on plugs before installation. Things happen, plugs get damaged etc..... ALWAYS check gaps even if they are pre gapped.

I'd suggest picking up a good wire-type gapping tool rather than the "silver dollar" type ones you see at the counter of the auto parts store. KD Tools 2327 would be a good one for you (it's a whopping $1.79 on Amazon). The problem with the "silver dollar" type gap tools is that people tend to use them to open up the gap by prying against the center electrode, which is a no-no. Only use a tool that pulls back on the ground electrode without touching the center electrode.
