I was told by THR that the stock cast crank in a 2v GT is good to 650 rwhp. I imagine the Cobra's is too.

IMO
Price out of the box= cobra Performance out of the box= Mach Assuming you are finacing the car(taking the price out of the total) in stock form you are getting more with the mach. Manual Mach as stated has the forged crank,although unless you are hitting big numbers (around 450whp+) you may never touch anyway, factory subframe connectors, 3.55's, toxico's, solid rear. But if you factor in the cost of the car in the total, the cobra wins. you need to know what power numbers you want as well as which one you like better. because driving a car that you don't love to look at every day just so you can get a piece of paper or a couple suspension goodies and a forged crank doesn't make any sense to me. I love the 01 cobra's but I like the look and style in my mach. that is why I have it. Either one you get, you will have a four valve car and good handling the diffenece between them in power, pales to the differnces in looks. All in all you can make both of them mean as hell street machines for not a lot of dough. Just get the one that gives you the 'OL **BOIIINNNNGGG** when you get in it to go to work. (or school for the kiddies)

id get a 01 cobra true blue hell yes
personally i think the 01 cobras look better i prefer the irs even thou its the shitty one the diff in the gears really wouldnt worry cause your more than likely gonna change em anyway seats look better in the cobra guages etc etc to me all around better car even thou the mach may edge it out in performance but to me the cobra looks better i got pics of a cobra ill post some later |
