i dont know which would be cheaper, but imo i would go with the mach cause it has forged internals. and not to be a dick or anything but couldnt the three topics you posted about the 99-01 cobras and 03-04 machs gone in one post?

The mach doesn't have forged internals, if it is a 5 speed it only has a forged crankshaft and that's it.

In my opinion I'd go with the cobra because I always wanted a cobra
But you could probably find a mach with lower miles easier.

Sad part about the 0-60, is that the 2002-2006 (not sure about 07-08 yet) Subaru WRX STI is 4.8 0-60 as well on just a 2.5L boxer engine. I don't consider them rice though, but thats just my opinion. Cool part is, i'm thinking of buying one eventually as a daily driver, even though it'll be one quick daily driver.

Because were discussing fast cars 0-60, and I figured I would mention that. So get over it.

i will not argue the fact that the STI is a quick car, still rice, but one of the better ricers. i understand though what Bmr4life ment, its an awd car when the 0-60 times of rwd cars were being discussed.

Yea but my point is, that he was asking 0-60 times, and obviously wanting to buy a quick car, considering the amount of threads made asking these types of questions, so I mentioned one.

Only reason I don't consider them rice, is because of the amazing power & speed for a 4cyl. Turboed car, and the fact that when the exhaust is done up, they don't sound like a tuner car. They sound mean & badass, and that's not something you can say for most other imports. |

I thought he was asking which would be easier to turn into a street beast....
And to that I say it depends on what you like best. The Mach 1 body or the Cobra body. You could probably find a Cobra from '99-'01 for less money than a Mach 1. You will need to change out the internals on either one if you want a real street beast. So go with what looks best and fits your budget best.

I think that both the 01 cobra and the mach 1 are a good choice, but if you were planning on big hp, i would go with the mach 1 because they have a solid axle (I THINK that the 01 cobras have IRS - it might just be the 03-04's).

car
mach ones are very nice, but the allure of a cobra is always better, id get the cobra. and the reason the STI has a good 0-60 lets think its AWD that cuts ALOT of time off of the 0-60, do a test take even the turbo or the AWD off of one and c what it runs, they have the potential not to be rice, because they can sound good, but you cant argue that right out of the box the way they sit there a fast, but id never drive one
