Underdrive pulley questions

Is it really practical and worthwhile to go with a set of underdrive pulleys. I've heard 3-5hp gain, but it seems as though it can potentially cause more harm than good. I read a forum and it said that they can cause accessories (steering, radio, and lights) to malfunction, and more seriously if the pulleys are too light, too heavy, or slightly off balance from stock that it can actually cause internal engine problems (due to improper balancing). Anybody experienced anything odd like this??? Are they really worth it???

There are tons of people that use them, get a good quality set like Steeda and you should be alright.

I have the steedas and I like them. You can tell the that the engine revs a little faster than with the stock pullies.

I'm running March pulleys. Haven't had any issues and I've been running them since September.

I heard very similar rumors. On another site a guy with a system in his car said his lights would dim at stop signs and red lights so much he thought they were out. I've also heard of people having issues trying to run more than one accessory at a time, like the radio and the AC or something like that. I know on this site we had the guy with the mineral grey put them on and his pulley fell off. For me personally, I figure I'll pick up 5-8 HP somewhere else.
