Strut Tower Brace

I've been wanting to get one for my Stang, and found another guy on here that is selling a spare one he has for his '97 GT. Will it fit? He says that it will, but all the web sites I've been to that sell strut tower braces have them categorized into '96-'98 and '99-04.

that's a good question. i never thought about that. i can't run a strut tower brace because of the JLT intake.
http://www.steeda.com/products/4130_...trut_brace.php
it looks like the Steeda 3 piece brace will fit both, but i don't know if that'll go for all braces.

It won't fit because of your intake? I didn't even think that would be a problem. I have a densecharger intake on mine. Shit, now how am I going to know if it's even going to fit? Plus I have the Reichard Racing intake.

It will fit with the densecharger...It fit mine when I had it...

The JLT CAI will not work with it though...Its just too big to be able to clear it...

As far as them being interchangable with years i dont really know...I have a steeda on my car...

it will fit with your intake.
not sure about that specific stb though.

the JLT is just a monster intake so no stb will fit with it.

He's out of state, so there's no way to fit-test it.

well do some research or find someone that has a 96-98 around you.

no need to spend your money on something that might not work.

but hey... it's your money not mine.

Get him to take a picture of it and compare it to the ones that are made for our year cars...

I think they might interchange but am not 100% sure...

Thanks for the tips guys... I'm going to ask him to send a pic and also ask him who makes it, so I can call the company and ask them as well.

I really cant tell you for certain if it will fit...I would think that it would work but then again there is a reason why all strut tower braces i ahve seen have been broken into 96-98 and 99-04...
