I Read in a mustang mag that 00 gt drvin properly would beat a bone stock 03 cobra with stock gears is this true?

i highly doubt it unless there was an idot in the cobra that couldnt drive! just gears would not put a gt even close to a s/c cobra.

Trying to remember it is a canadian mag for stangs. if 4.10s alone wont do it what else would you need to do the job?

will i own a terminator and lets c my freind owns a 2000 GT, with exhaust intake 4.10s and a tuner, and i still walk him.....badly even when i was stock and he had those mods it was no contest.

unless that cobra sits there and boils the tires till the GT hits the 1/8 mile, i highly doubt it. that GT will get destroyed.

or maybe if the cobra breaks a halfshaft or grenades the IRS....maybe the GT will stand a chance.

a 03 cobra hooks up better then the GT....unless it gets wheel hop and blows the rear out.

Maybe a upgraded blower like a KB, or a whipple!

There's about the same chance of a stock 92 4cyl LX beating a 99+ GT.

The only thing I could think could even possibly come out of this is the confusion that it was a 2000 cobra vs a 2003 GT w/ 4.10s but even then thats hard to believe but possible.

what you would need to beat a stock 03 cobra is some gears and a decent supercharger but all he has to do is slap a smaller pulley and few other mods and you wont even be able to touch him then.

Only way this could have happened, is if you read it wrong. And it said a 2000 Mustang GT w/ a stock 03 cobra engine swapped in it, with just 4.10 gears beat, a 03 stock Cobra, because maybe they were showing the difference between gears. Other than that, it couldn't happen, unless the GT had some type of engine swap, but they called it stock because nothing was done to the engine in that car.
