my 2000 still has the factory cd player and i occasionally have problems where it doesn't want to eject burned cd's. there are no labels on them, but it won't spit them out. it makes a sound like it's trying to eject it, and then finally it does, but sometimes it takes forever, and sometimes it spits the cd right out.

In mine when i go to eject a cd it usually starts to eject and then it gets stuck...then the cd error. But everytime all i have to do is try to eject it again and you can hear it trying to spit it out. But as its trying to get out i take my pocket knife and if you push down on the top edge of the cd lightly, yes stick the blade in the slot a light might help to see it, it will pop out. It has always worked for me, but i dont know if thats whats happening to yours.

when mine jams, i just push eject, and while its trying to eject the cd, i jiggle andother cd in the slot ... usually works prety fast, but somtime you have to put some muscle into it

Mine has done this as well, but I just press eject again, or lightly push another cd against the one that's stuck, and it pops right out. And when it says error, I just turn it off, then back on, and it's fine.

It most likely isnt the player but instead the CD. Cheap CDs get hot and warp in player and the CD gets hooked on the front lip of the openning on the inside. Simply push the slot you want and as soon as it recognizes it you take another cd and flick it on the edge of the Cd in the player and it will pop right out. Good luck.

^^Yea the speakers I agree sound decent. It's just the reciever sucks, but thats why we have Alpine & Eclipse, so we can buy decks & cd changers that work great, and have excellent SQ.

Ford doesn't make the stereos. They contract them out.
