Glass back vs proper muffler?

i just bought 2 brand knew magnaflow mufflers. I have a bbk off-road X pipe and it was just too raspy with the glass backs. Which is better for performance?? And will the sound with the magnaflows be much better than the glass backs on top of the off-road X?

Yes! You will definatly have a cleaner sound, because glasspacks are nothing but loud, and that's it. Any full catback you buy will sound much cleaner. Performance wise, i'd say you'll be about the same, but it will sound alot better imo.

Or get an H pipe, it will deepen the sound

You shouldn't have bought new exhaust, just a new mid pipe. A H-pipe or a prochamber, or even putting on a catted X pipe would have probably solved your issue.

Did you buy regular magnaflow exhaust or magnapacks? If you bought magnapacks I don't know how much you'll like the change, or how much of a change there will be.
