Nice numbers. I am seriously considering a 3valve swap in my car. Ford should have put the 3valve motors in the new edge GT's and the 5.0 in the s197's.

Its a simple fix. I have the 3valve heads on my F150 and broke the ceramic and lower sleave off one of my plugs. All I done was used a long and skinny punch to knock the ceramic piece down. Then got a 3/8th's inch tap and put a few threads in the sleave and got a 3/8th's inch threaded rod, tightened it into the sleave and used a nut and washer to tighten against the head and the broken piece popped out. It only took an hour or so longer and I had the back drivers side break.

yeah we tried that but this one was really bad and wouldnt come out
we tried like 3 shops including ford

then i bought the lisle tool
the tool from cornwell and MAc tools

but it was to stuck inside

so a change in spark plugs ended up costing

2500

:eek Holy shit! I would have just bought another motor and changed them before installing before paying ford that much money. This is one thing that made me lose respect for Ford. You make a shitty plug design and don't own up to your mistake. They should have been required to change all those plugs for free.

yeah dude

and it happens on the mustangs to because i think they use the same exact head

on the other hand i dont think the swap for 3v is that much improvement
why not just go 4v instead?

i dont mean to bash people who like 3v's i just dont see them perform like people claim on the net

i always see them run like 13.7 13.9 at the local fayeteville track

one they are cheaper, not as popular so they dont come with the 4v price tag. They are 80lbs lighter.
p
With bolt ons will come close to 300 at the tire, will hold 550 to the tire stock and live to tell about it.

Ported 3v heads make the TF 2v heads look like paper weights
