Anyhow, I get heavy shaking under highway conditions, more attributed to the alignment that cant be done until I get that K member replaced...

Id be worried that a Good K member can even be installed. if the frame is bent it wouldnt work.

Hey all. Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I just wanted to let everyone know that this turned out ok. I wound up doing the job myself, because I have this thing where NO ONE goes under my hood but me, or under my supervision, during major work. Fortunately, the K-Member went on with no major problems. I also replaced the steering rack and oil pan while I was at it, (all at the dealer's expense). All in all a nice weekend job, but I wouldn't advise it to someone who has no experience on this type of thing. Luckily I've done this before on an '03 Focus and again on an '84 F-150. Thanks for the help, all!
