Mach 1 shaker hood

Forgive me for the stupid question, I know it doesnt add much besides looks, but will this fit with all tb/plenum setups? gonna sound real dumb but the shaker hood doesnt replace any of that correct?

It depends which one your planning on getting. Theres a "real" shaker" ie. the Mach 1 stock ones, and "lick and stick" ones that float around, which don't do anything but make you look stupid when you pop the hood.

I think most of them sit on the stock upper intake and have a tube that connects the shaker scoop to the stock air filter housing. If u are going to do this upgrade, get the whole mach 1 hood and shaker setup. I have seen the cdc one up close and it looks cheesy. The giant black hood applique ruins the whole thing.

you can run a factory mach 1 hood with the cdc kit just requires modification. It will cost but it looks a lil better than the factory fake huge hood scoop. the front part of the bracket on the cdc kit goes to each side of the bolts at the top of the alternator and the other two goes to the two bolts at the back of the plenum.

I used to have the CDC kit on my car. and IMO it looks great.. There is also a write up how to make the cdc kit work with a real mach 1 hood.

if you want the shaker.. buy a mach 1.

so i guess the same goes that if you want to do a spoiler delete buy a bullitt, or if you want cobra wheels buy a cobra, if you want cobra brakes buy a cobra, if you want a mustang with a decent suspension dont buy aftermarket parts buy a roush, I mean come on manj lets get real. I guess Shelby was wrong for putting cougar tail lights on the back of the shelby back in the day. How about "if you have a mustang personalize it like they were meant to be"!

I was in jaf/jallalabad in afghanistan with the 173rd from 22may 2007 til 18july 2008. And what do you mean "how original"

Korengal!! I thought they were gonna close that thing up. Im not gonna talk too much about deployments on here on a different forum some ppl took offense to me speaking about deployments. Im out now on medical separation/retirement from injuries and mental instability. im gonna send you a PM to get this off the thread

thanks for the responses guys, I would get the actual mach 1 setup, I dont really like the look of the black part on the other one.

We could turn this thread in a dumbass question thread..im trying to grab some underdrive pullies but cant figure out if my car is a early or late 2001. I have the vin would any of you mind helping me out?
