When i was in spokane an 85 year old man driving a new zo6 pulled in and parked next to me at the trapshoot. god i dont wanna offend anyone but that is the sickest damn car.. i talked to this old guy for hours, he races it on road courses and goes 185 miles an hour on the 1 mile straight stretch! he has 6 sets of tires, shoulder harness seat belts and all kinds of cool shit. he was telling me that supposidly in 2008 or 09 "i cant remember which" chevrolet is coming out with a zo6 SS with a superchared LS7 that has 600 horsepower. he told me he already ordered one and he's just gonna keep his old one for a driver and race the new one. this guy is my fucking idle i wish he was my grandpa!

Your right about the ss.But the new motor is an ls9 with a blower.And yeah th new ZO6 is bad the is a guy that with DR's only he ran a 10.9x @126

i love my mustang and being an owner of a mustang but i do love the vettes. if i could have two cars it would be a cobra and a Z06

I liked Chevy before I liked Ford, so I'm still a big fan of the Vette.

I went somewhere yesterday and they must have had 30-40 Corvettes there, 4 or so of which were Z06... Must have been a club meeting or something. I wanted to get pictures, but they were all gone by the time I got a chance.

here in Effingham we had Mid-America Corvette, they are big into corvette parts and such. every year we have the "transportaion celebration" and mid america hosts "fun fest" where thousands of vettes from all over the world come to show off for a weekend. last year we had 10-12 thousand vettes show up! so i dont get excited when i see a stock vette cus i see so many every year, but i would def take a Z06! so if ya like vettes, come here and you will get your fill, oh and they give one away every year too!

+1 on what everybody already said. my dream is a new zo6. they are f'n sick'r then anything and they're so classy and sexy. that's my next car. hopefully I won't have to wait ill I'm 85 to own one.....

I hope I'm driving like that when I'm that age, that's f'n awesome... I can't stand slow old-farts.

i asked him if it was loud on the inside when going down the freeway.. hes like yeah its horribly loud! I just crank up the radio to drown out the road noise!

I know a guy near Austin with an all black C6 Z06 he calls "Vader,"... lol... has black rims, tinted windows and tinted lenses all-around.
I mean, I could almost see Darth Vader driving this thing:

I've run against it on the highway...and I can never catch that sumbitch.

Regular C6's and C5 Z06's I have no trouble with, but I have YET to catch a new Z06.

I need to save up a little more $$$, then I'll get his ass.

Oh and by the way, the 2010 Z07 is going to have 700hp...not 600.
Oh, and they dropped the "SS" nomenclature for "Z07."
Either way...it's gonna be sick indeed.

i tried looking up zo6 ss and found nothing, thanks i'll try zo7..

i'm gonna sell the 02 vert c5 and get a c6 zo6 a few years down the road once the price goes down a bit. or just keep it, i dunno yet..
