Cylinder Head Gasket Leak. Hydro Lock Question.

So I just got my super 44's installed yesterday and needless to say I went for a pretty fun drive. I have known for a bit that my head gasket may be leaking. I do not seem to have any coolant in my exhaust but it seems to be going straight out of the tail pipes (The majority coming out of the rear passenger side. It ran awesome but I think I drove it a bit hard as the coolant is dropping 100x faster than before and now is making almost like a sweeping sound(Must be water dumping, only when im driving). The past couple of weeks I have been running maily distilled water as I have been needing to refill it so often and It is summer and all sorts of people have said just use distilled water for now and stop wasting money on exspensive antifreeze.

#1 - Should I attemp to run a jug of antifreeze through the engine today to try and avoid a seizure from it sitting with all of that water in there?

What does it take to create a full hydrolock? Im guessing that I am close.

I had my exhaust done at Midas Muffler and autoshop. The guy told me that they do replace seals and gaskets and he pulled up a price for around 12 hours of labour and the price is $1400.00

My at home after hours full time mechanic hasent been consulted yet but he usually charges me a lot less than any other quote on every job and its usually drastically faster than what other people have quoted me.

#2 - Do you think my mechanic will have his hands full working solo or should I get it done at the shop?

#3 - How close am I to having a full seizure? Hydrolock? This is actually a very big deal as I dont just have $1500 lying around and it will need to sit. What can I do right now to prepare it to rest for the months ahead. I would think atleast a month or 2.

I don't think you understand the concept of a hydrolock. Hydrolock is something that mostly 4wheel guys experience when they do a river crossing and get in too deep. It happens when you get enough water in the intake to fill the cylinder, hydraulically locking the engine. At that point you have to remove the spark plug(s) and turn the engine over to push the water out. If you have a bad head gasket that is leaking water into the cylinders you are looking at more of an overheating and lubrication problem. You could warp a head or worse, spin a bearing. Get the head gaskets replaced if you think you have a blown head gasket.

I'd be more worried about overheating the car and doing more damage.

Oh ... and what's the deal with that photo posted?

How would I know if I had a spun bearing? What kind of signs could I look for?

The Hydrolock thing was brought up by someone else btw. I do Understand about the cylinder filling with fluid. I just dont understand the actual placement in the engine fully as I have never been that deep in my engine. Basically the fluid is running through or around my heads down into the block right? and out the pipes from there?

Your shit would sound like there's a little dude inside the engine banging on everything with a hammer, followed by engine siezure. The first time I spun a bearing was on a 91 Honda Prelude I had a long time ago. When it started to go my first instinct was to shut the car off. I'm sure that would be anyones first instinct since it sounds like the engine is about to come apart. It's very unnatural.
