Clutch all of a sudden got stiff today while driving.
Hi Guys and Gals,
I have a 02 Mustang GT with 103,400 miles on it... Today I was driving and all of a sudden the clutch felt really stiff.. I was still able to shift with no issue at all just really stiff when pressing down on the clutch pedal. is this normal? should I just replace the clutch? Thanks |

IMHO, it sounds like the clutch cable is on it's way out.

inspect the entire cable, and if nothing is found wrong pop off the inspection cover on the trans and make sure the clutch fork hasn't slipped. had that happen once, the end of the fork was rubbing the inspection cover, felt like i had a 700lb leg press for a clutch pedal.
