just turn the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off.
just make sure to remember your belt routing and you should be fine

Use a 3/8" rachet to relieve pressure off of the belt. It just fits right into the front of the belt tensionert pulley. Also, draw the belt routing out if you have to- it is a pain if you forget it.

there is an on-line manual I posted in the tech section that can walk you through it.
It also has the belt routing in pic form you could print out

so i went out to install a new belt at 2:30, and am just walking in the door 4 and a half hrs later ahahhaha
can i make a list of what went wrong? sure i can..... 1. i dont own a 1/2 inch ratchet to mess with the auto tensioner. 2. the belt i was given at autozone was too long.... not because they gave me the wrong belt but because in some messed up way my pulley configuration is altered... ask me how and i will say ???? i have no clue... 3. i go to return the belt and do an even swap, but the difference in price is $3.60.........$3.60 that i didnt have in my pocket. 4. im now thinking that with the way the auto tensioner fully tensions out, my belt is probably a little loose and will probably do the same thing as the old one in a few weeks... damn, it feels good to vent /sigh |

Ouch, sorry about the problems bro.
One tip I will give is that whenever I am changing a belt, it is always easier to have a buddy help, so that one person can relieve the tension and the other can put on the belt.
