Royal Purple

Its about that time I have to change my oil, and I have only heard good things about Royal Purple. How is royal purple in our GT's? All types of feedback would be appreciated.

Royal Purple is a synthetic oil. I put it in just last week when I changed my oil and haev no complaints so far. With any motor oil, it's hard to tell the difference yourself, unless you talk to a shop that does engine rebuilds, then they can tell you the effects of different motor oils inside the engine.

I've also heard that Royal Purple has been "dyno tested" vs. other synthetic oils and that RP had HP gains over the others.

No shit? That's really cool. Is it worth it to send it off? Would you only do it if you suspected something wrong in your engine?

Yep Yep... Royal Purple is the only thing that has every touch my baby! Its a great oil. And yes you can switch from mobil 1 to Royal Purple without any problems... if you were using a reg oil i wouldnt recommend it if you had more than 60K on the car.

But since your car has had synthetic run through it already, the mileage doesnt matter does it? And also where are you guys buying your royal purple and what weight are you guys running?

I run 5W20 and the only place around where I am that seems to stock it is NAPA. It's about $7 a quart. I use it along with a Mobil One oil filter.

Yeah the only place I havent looked for it at, because they have a inconvient parking lot, but I will stop by there and pick some up next time I change my oil. Because of my climate do you suggest 5W30 or 10W30? Thanks
