walboro? it's good til it burns up from being used in the wrong application. those are designed for return style systems. use in a 99-04 non return style (unless you've converted) will burn it up over time.

Best fuel pump to go with if your starting out and on a budget is an SVT Focus pump. You could pick one up brand new for 95 bucks. Focus pumps are good to 400+ whp.

I believe he's talking about the 255l that lethal sells. It is designed for return fuel, but lethal sells them for returnless systems. There is a disclaimer that says the tuner must know how to tune this pump in a pulsating system.
I would just go with the gt pump personally. Any pump you get you should look into a wire upgrade or a bap.

Is that an Electric Green Mustang? Cool color. By the way, as you may have noticed there seems to be a lot of 255 lph fuel pumps. The SVT Focus that shipped with my ProCharger kit is good to 400 rwhp (according to ProCharger tech support).

It really depends on the car and your mods. Some have maxed at 375rwhp. Others are pushing low to mid 400's. 400rwhp is a good assumption.

Depends on what its rated at psi wise, is it 255lph @ 40 psi or 60 psi or what and also depends on if its going on a boosted car, N/A, or Nitrous car.

^ So going off of what Dave is saying - we would need to know:
1. What kind of pump is it and the rating? Walboro, SVT focus, etc 2. What is your application? N/a? F/I? Nitrous? I still agree with my quote if you're on a budget: SVT Focus pumps are easy to install, literally PnP, and they can handle a decent amount of power.

Yeah, I went with an SVT Focus fuel pump too. Was gonna go with a Walbro to save some money over a new SVT Focus, but ended up getting a good deal on a used SVT Focus at $65.

That's pretty good. $65 for mine was shipped and it was only used since 2010 I believe the seller said. So I'm pretty happy.

HP directly relates to the BSFC which is totally different for a N/A car to a forced induction car. How much boost, blower type, IAT all affect BSFC and HP limit.

Wow lots of information here, thank you all! Eagle2000 electric is the best color ford has produced thus far and we got it! I found out the pump was return style. I am looking for around 450 to 475 to the wheels eventually. Might be to much for the stock block and my roommate just moved out last Sat. The block will have to wait for now. I bring my heads to get ported on 10/29. I would like to have the heads, V1 s-trim, and tune by the time I can take it out of storage next year. I will try for 380-390 till I have the block. What should I do for pump, fuel injectors. And can I reach my both goals with the same setup?
