Tie Rod Help

Right now I'm trying to get the outer tie rod off first. I am having problems trying to get it off.

How do you separate the outer tie rod end from the steering Knuckle that is near the rotor? I already loosened the nut that holds it in place, but the outer tie rod doesn't seem to budge out of place. What should I do?

You need a pickle fork. Put it in there and beat it with a hammer. Sometimes (rarely but sometimes) if you hit the side of the piece where the tie rod is going through with a hammer it will break it free. You're gonna have to HIT it though.

The quick and dirty solution would be to thread the nut onto the tie rod end so that it's engaging most of the threads but protecting the tie rod, and hit it with a hammer. A BIG hammer.

Not saying it's the right way, but hey, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Yeah, you can do it that way, but you might end up buying a new tie rod end. I've seen it work and I've seen it fail. It's up to you.

I'm assuming he's replacing it anyways, and is hard up for a quick solution. I've done this a few times when in a bind to great success. Of course I didn't care if I destroyed the tie rod.

One was rusted so bad I had to use a torch to get it off, and when I did, I chucked it at a cement wall, breaking it. I seem to have a propensity for breaking things.

To make sure I'm on the correct pace. Here is what I am trying to get off? Am I doing it right or is there something I need to take off before slamming it off?

Okay I got it off, some dw40 and a hammer did the trick and made the job much easier.

Okay Now I'm stuck, I can't seem to get the nut on the inner tie rod off! The inner tierod keeps spinning making it impossible to get the nut off.

Here it what I am talking about.

I have the outer tie rod off so ignore that. The nut I am trying to get off now is circled in green.
