Cams with Trick Flow Heads

So I've decided to bite the bullet and go with the Trick Flow heads. I know that the valves are moved in these heads, which supposedly reduces PTV issues. My question is will I be able to run my COMP 270 cams correctly installed without notching my pistons? I ran them on the stock shortblock with the stock heads for a long time but I don't know if they were degreed differently to reduce the PTV issue. Thanks for your input everyone.

Yes the revised valve position should give more than enough PTV clearance for the comp 270's.

Those heads give tons of room for big big cams. Hell. I'm selling a set of 580/.580 trickflow stage 2s that were designed around that head. I'm asking dirt cheap too. 350 shipped.

I've got the cams. I know they will fit. I am wondering about PTV issues with my cams. No big deal though. I called Trick Flow and they said they are good for their stage 2 cams with no PTV issue. Those have a .580 lift. Mine have a .550 lift and the intake duration is exactly the same between the two. My exhaust duration is 4 degrees more than the Trick Flow cams, so I'll be fine. Crisis averted.

If you go with .580 lift cam, make sure to go with the non track heat springs as they are only rated to .550

I think you meant to say "go with the track heat springs" if using a cam with more than .550 lift.

No I meant what I said. The track heat springs are rated at a lower lift that the non track heat:

Trick flow must've changed their springs or are advertising differently cause when I bought my set of heads, the springs were rated at .580 and .550, now they're .600 and .580.
