Bullitt calipers no longer available?

Ford Racing Parts for Less - BuyFordRacing.com used to sell the Bullitt calipers w/ the running pony loaded with pads for $250. Does anyone know if they are just out of them or have permanently taken them off of the availability chart?

I am kicking myself now for not getting them earlier when I wanted because if I want to to the 13" front brake upgrade, I will have to seek elsewhere for these calipers. It was by far the best deal I could find on them.

Any guidance appreciated as always.

Sean

I heard back in Dec 2010 that 2011 was the last year they'd make them. However you can still find cobra ones (pay more though). And as you can see other companies stil sell them because they still have inventory.

This is ridiculous. So instead of paying $250 for Calipers, it's now $350 or the kit from LRS which is "SVE". That sounds a bit tacky if you ask me. I don't want my GT to say :Cobra: on the brakes...that's not how I will. The Bullitt ones were perfect because it had the Running Pony logo.

Honestly, I baught my Bullitt calipers from blue oval industries a year ago and they were 250. I have no idea why they are 350 now.

I know. I made some phone calls to local Ford dealers and they both said that they can get remanufactured Bullitt calipers for roughly $220 not including pads. I would also have to send in my calipers as a core charge.

However, the dealers don't have a clue if they are the red w/ running pony. Any help on this situation appreciated.

My v6 calipers have 2 pistons. Not sure about my GT though. I haven't paid too much attention to it.

They all have 2 pistons, but you cannot run a 13" caliper on a standard GT caliper. I honestly am not sure what the real difference is however.

I am working in NC and found a local Bullit setup which included Centric blanks, HPS pads, and 2001 Bullitt calipers for $250. Pretty good deal if you ask me eh?!

There like two inches bigger, and the caliper and bracket are one piece, 99-04 v6 and gts had the same brakes... im sure late and earlier v6 to v8s are the same as well

I went from GT calipers and rotors to cobra calipers, rotors, and SS brake lines.
The size difference in the two is really not enough to make a noticeable difference. The rotors make the difference in the braking power. The pins allow for easy pad changes though. By far my favorite feature on them.
