Having trouble wiring up toggle switch for overdrive

Well i got a new knob for my automatic from UPR. Problem is I can't get the toggle switch to turn off overdrive when I flip it. I tried wiring it every possible way, but it just doesn't seem to work. Is there a certain number of amps the toggle switch must be? I tried a 6 amp and a 20 amp.

should just be a simple power and ground to the toggle. Did you just cut the wires from the old button and attach them to the new one?

I thought the OD button on the stock shifter was infact button the broke a signal and the on and off feature wasnt actually toggled by button.

Which is why the car always starts with O/D on no matter what setting you left the car in

Check all fuses, yes it takes longer but in the end you'll know if one is popped or not lol.
