gonna dip the rims....chrome or black chrome?

like the title says im gonna dip my rims, im runnin 17" saleen replica rims on my mineral grey 2001 vert. its lowered to the ground, but when i bought it the wheels had been powder coated and look ugly not to mention they all chipped . so im thinkin plain chrome will look nice as always as long as my wheels arent to big(17"s aint ) but also on the fence about the black chome thinkin it might look badass.. any input?

I say you should pass on the black. The mineral grey and black kinda clash. Thats my opinion. Chrome would look very nice. I have chrome 03-04 cobra 18s and im thinkin about doin a smoke effect on them (black chrome) but my car is sonic blue. Thats just my opinion

I think mineral grey is one of the few colors that flow very well with black chrome or chrome but you will see less mustangs in one given car spot with black chrome so i say black chrome. just my opinion. I may be thinking of gunmetal grey though. Nah i just pulled up a pic either mineral grey and gunmetal grey vehicle will flow well with black chrome rims.

I think on a MG or DSG black chrome looks weird. It almost looks like identical to the paint.

I have chrome on DSG.

Honestly hypercoated looks best with mineral gray in my opinion..

I don't think the black looks bad I was gonna get my Roush wheels in black but plasti dip them first to see if I liked it. Here's a pic of Mineral Grey on black Saleens I hope the Forum member doesn't mind me posting
