swap mufflers

hey guys i got a question i want to swap out my magnaflow mufflers because there jus too quiet my friend said he would sell me his slp lm1 mufflers an tips. so can i swap out my magnaflow mufflers an replace them with the lm1? while still able to use the magnaflow hardware?

the slp lm1 piping is 2 1/2 inches and the magnaflow pipin is 2 1/2inches

You will have to modify the piping if your magnaflow mufflers have an offset inlet/outlet.

You will need the flowtubes or have an exhaust shop bend you some flowtubes

i went from a SLP stuff to Flow 40's (kinda backwards of what you are doing. you WILL need flow-tubes and that should be all. your swap will be a little easier than mine.

Just get you some 40 series flowmasters and be happy with the sound. Not trashy loud and not grandma quiet

Flow 40's FTW. the SLP stuff was when i was young and stupid. we have all been there lol.

doing it over again, i would have gotten Thrush welded mufflers. they appear to be nearly identical to the FlowMasters but are HALF the money. i think with FlowMaster, you are paying alot for the name but they sound awesome IMO

yea i love flow's on 32 valves even on the gt's they sound good i have an x pipe right now and would like a h pipe with these flows i have on, but eventually i plan on get borlas so thats why im keeping the bassani x pipe, have you heard my car yet?? tell me what you think

Best sound for a 2v is spintech, borla, mac, and magnapack.
Best sound for a 4v is borla, magnaflow, flowmaster, Spintech
Best sound for a 5.0 is spintech, flowmaster, magnaflow, Jba mufflers.

Just my opinion sir

I had the 40s on my mustang now I have the 10s. I have the Thrush Welded on my thunderbird and they do have a similar sound to the 40s.
