Intercooler shopping.

For those of you that have been keeping up with me and my boost/ dyno this weekend I need you to help me choose an intercooler setup. I have already bought the AFM powerpipe now off to the intercooler. I have a 90mm lightning MA, and would like to try and keep it. I could use some PICS to so I will know what to do, and also I want to keep my bumper in tact if possible.

CXRacing 4 core, best bang for the buck. But I recomend going blow through.

Keeping the bumper bar intact is best done with the expensive procharger 3 core. The cx works great but it is a universal ic so fab work is needed.

Couldn't of said it better myself and if you have a stock gt bumper your going to need to cut into the crash bar, I have an 03/04 cobra bumper and my intercooler fits between the bar and the bumper, amazing I know

I'm running a cx racing 31x12x3 bar and plate kit. You will have to notch or remove the bumper bar.

"Search cx racing intercooler build" on this board and you will find plenty of pics in that thread.

That should work okay....try finding one without turbo piping. Because the turbo piping uses a 90* pipe to run off the turbo. Where a centri uses a 45* angle pipe. I have no straight pieces like those in my setup, I dont even think straight piping would work to be honest.

This is the better 3" piping set:

CXRacing 3" Intercooler Piping Kit Accord Mustang pipe | eBay

Just buy the CXRacing 31x12x4 intercooler with no piping.

Depending on the BOV you pick, youll need the right flange to be welded on the 45* pipe. That will be the first piping coming off the blower.

If you go blow through (recomended) youll need a nipple welded on after the MAF for your IAC.

I believe your running meth right? Keep the MAF further away from the throttle body, so you can spray the Meth after the MAF, and I learned this from stal, you want the meth to spray like 10-12" before the IAT sensor so it doesnt get false readings.

Also, not sure if you have one now, but youll need a 2.75"-3" silicone reducer for the supercharger discharge to 3" piping.

Im looking on ebay there just dont seem to be much out there tonight. I dont mind to cut the crash bar as long as I can keep my bumper in tact.

Since there was mention of the Procharger 3 core: Procharger 3 core intercooler

If you don't mind cutting the crash bar then the cxracing 4" core will work or look into Teadstone's 3.5" horizontal or vertical core. It's better quality than cxracing, but also costs more.

Damn son, wanna order me a 4 core intercooler too??

What kind of BOV do you want? Youll have to get the flange welded on, or some have a pipe with the flange already welded on.

You need 3" piping....well you want 3" piping.

I run a Greddy knock off, and works "okay" definatley gets compressor surge at part throttle shifts.

Uhmm.....Idk, Vortech maxflow?

Amazon.com: Vortech 8D204-008 Maxflow Racing Bypass Valve: Automotive Amazon.com: Vortech 8D204-008 Maxflow Racing Bypass Valve: Automotive

And you can get a Greddy S type (or R type) BOV flange pipe and itll work on that.

Turbo Smart 50mm Raceport BOV is nasty. Theres a lot of different kinds you can run
